This one needs some serious thought. Usually, member groups are about the characters, but this site is not focused on characters, and does not allow character accounts, so there might need to be another system.
Could have member groups for time zones, but are groups even really needed outside of use for moderation?
Something like
Admin
Staff
Moderator
Premium Member (one of those only if i end up needing help paying for the site)
Member

Guest
Groups could also be made for player games if moderation ability will be something players can do.

Free to join groups with like interests? People can freely join groups, so it would be kinda alright.

Could use groups for player games. Could be the name of the player game and the leader could be the head "owner" of the game.
Alternatively, Game Maker could be its own group, but that could put a cap on the possibilities more. But on the other hand, in the WILD AND OUT THERE idea that people actually use this site, I don't want to have to wade through 100 game groups, nor do I want to keep up with pruning them.

okay so this is a random idea for therpgame.net as in the rp site i'll never open, not the ad directory. but i was thinking about instead of doing like member groups I was going to use gemstones. And now I think I want to do it so you can like
pick a gemstone and
you start out raw and as you post you level up and your gemstone
gets refined to a polished gem and
then it gets a setting,
and then that setting can upgrade a couple of times nickel->silver->gold->platinum,
and then you can chose a new gemstone whenever and collect as many as you want as you level
Colors for the threads and stuff will be handled in the post forms themselves, so there isn't really a color based aspect to the membergroups anyway
